Brief Description of Event: This community lecture explores the transformative impact of West African drumming, a centuries-old communal practice on cognition, mood, and connection. Drawing from emerging research and lived experiences, we'll highlight how rhythmic engagement can stimulate brain activity, reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety, and foster meaningful interaction between individuals with Alzheimer's disease and their caregivers.
