    Event Registration Link: Register here.
    Locations Details: Virtual
     Virtual URL
Date and Time: 11/18/2025 11:00 AM
Brief Description of Event: This fall, you're invited to Dementia Friendly America's inaugural Dementia Friendsgiving. We're celebrating the growth and acceleration of our movement over the last decade. Please join us for this online potluck--and stay tuned for what to bring! Open to all!

November 18, 11am-3pm ET, and 3pm-4pm ET afterparty to connect and learn in themed breakout rooms

Featuring keynote speaker Teepa Snow, people living with dementia, caregivers, champions from every corner of the dementia-friendly movement, and a special awards presentation.

Special request: Friendsgiving will be a potluck. As you wait for registration to open, think about something you can bring for fellow attendees! Everyone will have an opportunity to share a contribution – and see what others bring as well. Choose something that represents an aspect of the dementia friendly movement for you: what brought you to the movement, how you’re currently involved, what you hope to see in the future, or anything else that’s meaningful to you. For example, you could:
~Make a donation in honor of someone special and tell your group about that person
~Show a photo or flyer from a memory cafe or other event
~Share a song, quote, link to news story, or letter of support from mayor
    ~Describe a cherished memory
~Bring a friend you’re introducing to the movement
~Describe a resource or practice you use if you’re an aging services professional or a caregiver of someone living with dementia
~Bring anything you can imagine – don’t be afraid to get creative!
