We are excited to introduce a new Dementia Friendly Community initiative in Wayne County. You are invited to join us in building a more dementia-friendly Wayne County—one where people living with dementia, their care partners, and families feel supported, valued, and included.

Our goal is to bring together a diverse Cross-Sector Community Action Team that reflects the people, organizations, businesses, and leaders who make Wayne County strong. By working collaboratively across sectors, we can create meaningful, lasting change that improves quality of life for everyone.

Together, we will engage community members to identify local strengths, recognize gaps in services and supports, and establish shared priorities. Using this input, we will develop a community-driven action plan focused on achievable goals, measurable progress, and continuous improvement. Along the way, we'll celebrate successes, build new partnerships, and ensure Wayne County remains a welcoming and supportive place for individuals living with dementia and those who care for them.
